A new bugfix release has been done for Enthusiast, raising its version level to 3.1.2. This bugfix release fixes a few dashboard presentational problems as well as some SQL injection vulnerabilities. An upgrade zip is also available at the download section, which contains files you will need to upload/overwrite your installations with–so please upgrade your Enthusiast installations now. :)

Exciting!! Going to upgrade now. Thanks for your hard work, Angela. :)

Angela,
There looks to be a minor bug in show_owned and show_joined where the function get_enth_category_children has been used instead of get_category_children. I’m guessing that get_enth_category_children is a work around for using Enth with WordPress? Unfortunately, if left in a regular installation it gives a fatal error.
Angela
Thanks, Rachel!
Ally, the WordPress fix has been rolled into Enthusiast 3.1 since the previous version (3.1.1), so if you’re still running 3.1.0, you would need to upgrade to 3.1.1 first before upgrading to 3.1.2. :)
Hope this helps!

That’s really strange, because I update when each is released, and I do remember doing the March update. Maybe I over-wrote it with an old copy in the time since it was released? Weirdcakes.
Thanks, Angela!
Angela
No problem. Sometimes that can happen — it’s happened to me, actually. I think it was due to some unannounced rollback or something on my server, I’m not too sure. Let me know if anything else weird happens :)

I get an error when trying to join a fanlisting I own. There error log says that the collumns don’t match up when inserting the data. I don’t know why, as I’m using the most recent version and only have the one fanlisting.
Any thoughts?
Renee
I fixed it. Apparently, I had wanted to make a custom field (favorite_song) but instead of it showing up and working in my join form and showing up on the database page for my fanlisting in Enth, it didn’t. So it kept trying to insert into that field but they weren’t lined up right seeing as that field wasn’t listed in the form.
It was my own bad :)
Angela
Glad to know you fixed it, Renee :) However, next time, you should head to the CodeGrrl forums instead, as I don’t offer support in the form of comments or email. :)

Thank you for your constant work on improving the script! It sure feels good to see constant bug fixes and well…it just makes maintaining fanlistings a whole lot more fun! (:
Thank you!
PS. I had no problems with upgrade. ^^
Angela
That’s great, Hikoto! I’m glad you encountered no problems. :) Thanks for appreciating the work, I’m hoping to get out updates quicker soon. ♥
Kathryn
Thanks so much for your continued attention to this lovely script, Angela! The upgrade worked like a charm. :D
Carolynne
Well thank you very much Angela! I love how you have it that whenever we view our dashboard, we can see any new updates to Enth. Brilliant! I appreciate the wonderful work you do for this fabulous script! *bows to you* ;)
Angela
@Kathryn: I’m glad the upgrade went well!
@Carolynne: Thanks! I also figure that would be so much easier than having to post everywhere (well, almost everywhere!) about the upgrades, hehe.
Keanu
Ah nice script. I’ll go upgrade as well.
Nelson
I think the script doesn’t check whether the e-mail input is in its right format. For instance, I accidentally updated my record in one of the fanlistings I joined (http://anime.just-peachy.com) – powered by Enthusiast – without putting my correct e-mail. It was merely a “username@” format, excluding the domain name. It so happens that I forgot my password. So, how will I recover my current password through e-mail when my “e-mail” is not actually an e-mail? O_o
Angela
Hello Nelson, the fanlisting must be using an outdated version of Enthusiast. Email address verification has been rolled into the feature list for some time now. :)
